What is included? What is optional

The premium notary package includes all required Texas notary supplies, along with extra coverage and optional services to streamline the process.

Notary Public Bond

Texas State requires each person who applies to become a notary or renew a notary commission before filling out the application form to purchase a Texas Notary Public Surety Bond from a bonding company licensed in Texas. The bond must cover $ 10,000 and be valid for four years. It is included in the Premium Notary Package.

Wet-Ink Notary Stamp

In Texas, every tangible (paper-based) document that is notarized must include a wet-ink notary stamp. This stamp must meet specific requirements regarding its size and the information it contains. Each notary receives a uniquely produced stamp. The notary stamp is included in the Premium Notary Package.

Notary Record Book

In Texas, notaries are required to record each notarization in their recordkeeping book, regardless of whether a notary fee was charged. Each entry must include specific information about the signer, details about the documents, the date, and other relevant information. Hardcover notary recordkeeping book is included in the Premium Notary Package.

Digital certificate X.509

What is it? It is a special encrypted computer file known as a PFX file. On a PC, it appears as an envelope with a key, while on a Mac, it shows as a certificate icon. You cannot directly open this file to view its contents. Instead, PFX files are used to digitally sign documents, such as PDFs and DOCX files. Digital certificate X.509 is ncluded in the Premium Notary Package.

Electronic Seal

An electronic notary seal, or e-seal, is a digital version of a traditional notary stamp. It works like a photocopy of a wet ink stamp and is used for electronically notarizing documents, including remote notarization. It is included in the Premium Notary Package.

E&O insurance

Texas Secretary of State does not require error and Omission Insurance to be held by a Texas notary, but in case of any claims made from your Notary Bond, you must pay back the amount to the Surety company. Insurance will cover your outcome in case of claims from your bond, keeping your finances safe. It is included in the Premium Notary Package.

ReNew - optional

A notary commission is granted for four years; to continue your commission without interruption, you should apply to new terms 90 days before your current commission expires. It has the exact requirements as a new notary commission but allows the commission to be kept seamless and uninterrupted. It is optional and not included in the Premium Notary Package.

Application - optional

To become a Texas notary or renew a notary commission, application requires. You can do this yourself, with a general waiting time of about 4 weeks. Alternatively, authorized bond companies like TXNotaryForm.com can handle the application for you, offering expedited processing with a waiting time of less than a week. It is optional in the Premium Notary Package.
