This Privacy Policy describes how SIMARGL LLC dba TXNotaryForm.com ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with your use of the CertSignPDF mobile application (the "App") on Android devices and Chromebooks.
At CertSignPDF, we are committed to protecting your privacy. Our core principle is to minimize data collection and ensure that your sensitive notarial documents and digital certificate information remain under your control.
This means:
All PDF files you open, process, or digitally sign within the App remain exclusively on your Android device or Chromebook.
Your digital certificate files (e.g., PFX) and the cryptographic operations performed with them occur entirely within the App on your device.
This includes names, addresses, identification numbers, or biometric data.
The digital signature is embedded directly into the PDF document on your device.
To function, the App requires access to certain information on your device. This access is solely for the purpose of enabling the App's core functionality, and this information is
The App requires access to PDF files stored on your device (e.g., in your device's internal storage, Downloads folder, or cloud storage providers like Google Drive if you explicitly open them from there) to allow you to select, view, and sign them.
The App requires access to the location where you store your X.509 digital certificate files (e.g., PFX files) on your device to load them for signing operations.
We may collect anonymous, aggregated, and non-identifiable device information (e.g., device model, operating system version, app version) for the sole purpose of understanding overall app usage patterns, improving app compatibility, and diagnosing technical issues. This data cannot be used to identify you personally. We do not use third-party analytics services that track individual users.
The information accessed locally by the App is used exclusively for the following purposes:
- To enable you, a Texas Online Notary, to digitally sign PDF documents using your X.509 digital certificate.
- To facilitate the secure application of your digital signature and electronic seal to the PDF document as required by Texas online notarization regulations.
- To provide the core functionality of the App, allowing you to manage the digital signing process.
- To improve the App's performance and stability through aggregated, anonymous data (as described above).
Once a document is digitally signed within the App, it remains on your device. You are solely responsible for how you store, transmit, or share these signed PDF documents with your clients or other parties, in accordance with your professional obligations and Texas online notarization laws.
All critical operations, including certificate loading and digital signing, occur directly on your device, reducing the risk associated with data transmission over networks.
We do not provide or utilize any cloud storage services for your documents or certificates.
While we strive to protect your data, no system is 100% secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and your digital certificate files (e.g., password for PFX file, secure device access).
Since the App processes data locally and does not collect or store your documents or certificates on our servers, you are in complete control of your data retention. You decide when and where to save your signed PDF documents and how long to keep your digital certificate files on your device.
As we do not collect or store your personal data, your rights related to data access, rectification, or erasure are primarily managed by you directly on your device. You can manage your documents and certificates through your device's file management system.
This App is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App or on our website. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted.
